RYOHO TEACHER TRAINING

HELD ON THE GOLD COAST AT BEAUTIFUL BURLEIGH HEADS THIS SUMMER.

The response to this course has been fantastic. Since my last course ended in 2008 it has been my intention to continue to maintain and in fact raise the standard of Yoga Therapy Training.  Your commitment and enthusiasm for next year’s course is all we need to create the perfect teacher training course and together create truly awesome health professionals.

The world health organization states on its website that 80% of all non communicable diseases are preventable. Learn the path to health, not potions or pills or promises. The cobblestones of the path to health is made up of the basics of living, What you eat and how you move are the the true foundations of a healthy life. Yoga is the understanding of that path.

The course runs in 3 sections; namely two theory components each comprising of three nights a week and the final section based on the students' ability to deliver clear, effective information as a Ryoho Yoga class Teacher.
Part 1 and 2 of the theory components are taught on Monday, Tuesday  and Wednesday  evenings so that we can all maintain our normal lives. The theory component in Ryoho Teacher Training is used to present new concepts each week and then the student is encouraged to put these new concepts into practice for a week. The Training is an intensive learning experience. The course is designed to create qualified, capable health professionals. The concepts are simple, as any natural therapy should be but the capacity to deliver consistent professional effective therapy requires a precise understanding of what natural therapies is. This can only be achieved through building personal understanding from the ground up. Step by step. Asana by Asana. The organic nature of natural therapies requires that concepts are built, one upon the other and that each experience provides the personal understanding for the next weeks' lessons. Each student is welcomed into the course based on the assumption that they understand the expectation to practise regularly between lectures.
Morning yoga and day time yoga classes are provided to maintain and expand health levels. Yoga classes are free to students.

Part 1 would take approx 6 weeks then....
There will be a one month break between sections 1 &  2

Part 2 needs to run for at least 3 months based on a January 2012 start.
The occasional weekend workshop will be held throughout, as needed, to maintain momentum. Workshops will cost $150 each.

Section 3 is the practical teaching component where student teachers will practise taking classes at the centre.

Ryoho Therapeutic Yoga is a product of a clear understanding of the first three aspects of the eight stages of yoga. Ryoho Yoga teachers believe that people seek Yoga or other forms of alternative therapy to feel better not to tackle something that is impossible to achieve and at the same time holding the firm belief that yoga is based on always striving for excellence.

Ryoho Therapeutic Yoga classes are generally constructed with clear goals in mind. Ryoho Yoga is based on the idea that you can’t fix everything at once but you can certainly make a massive impact on one particular area of difficulty such as chronic back pain, using the infinitely appropriate and variable science of yoga.

January - September 2012

Students should leave some time to develop teaching skills at the yoga centre.
